IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR STUDENTS
Universities will not reopen this academic year. Students will continue their technology-assisted learning, and exams can be taken online. Each university will communicate their strategy for organizing exams.
Starting with 15 May, Romania entered the state of alert.
- For traveling within the metropolitan area of a city (30 kilometres from the main city), the Personal Statement Form is no longer required. Traveling outside the metropolitan area is permitted only with a new version of the Personal Statement Form, available here (currently only in Romanian). This provision will be lifted starting with the 1st of June 2020.
- Starting with 15 May 2020, it is mandatory to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth in shopping malls, stores, means of transportation, in the workplace and in other enclosed spaces.
Starting with the 1st of June 2020:
restaurants and bars will reopen their terraces, while ensuring a distance of minimum 2 meters between tables and with no more than 4 people at a table
outdoor concerts, festivals and other cultural events are allowed, with no more than 500 participants, maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters and wearing a protective mask
outdoor sports competitions can be organized, but without spectators
access to beaches is allowed, but only using chairs situated at least 2 meters apart.
All those returning from abroad will undergo quarantine / isolation at home, together with their families. People who have traveled alone and do not want to expose their families can be quarantined in specific facilities, upon request.
